Collecting and Saving Expected Enrolment as a Field Value
This article explains how to collect expected enrollment numbers and save them as a field value on the primary object. While the option to collect expected enrolment numbers in Preferences has been available since the beginning, this information was historically saved only at the activity level. As a result, it was either lost or had to be manually updated on the objects.
Configuration Steps
To configure the collection of expected enrolment numbers, follow these steps in the Preferences form designer:
- Add a Section:
- Insert a regular section where you want the expected enrolment information to be collected.
- Add a Number Input Element:
- Place a number input element within the section. This element will be used to input the expected enrolment number.
- Make the Field Required:
- Ensure that the number input field is marked as required to prevent any missing data.
- Assign an Object Type for Pre-Filling:
- Select the appropriate object type for pre-filling (typically the primary object).
- Select the Expected Enrolment Field:
- Choose the expected enrolment field from the selected object type.
- Enable Editing:
- Set the field to be editable to allow users to input and modify the enrolment numbers.
- Update Object Value When Generating Activities:
- Toggle on the option labeled "Update object value when generating activities." This ensures that the collected enrolment number is automatically saved to the object field once activities are generated in the Activity Manager.
Important Notes:
- This option is available exclusively for number input elements.
- The number input element must be set to "editable" for the feature to work.
- The collected value will be added to the object field during activity generation in the Activity Manager.
