New release Evaluation 5.12
Extension of External Examiner features
CONFIGURATION, NEW FEATURE - Enable different navigation option for examiner questionnaire - EV-134, EV-133
As part of the external examiner extension mentioned earlier a new navigation option to switch between the different blocks (pages) in the evaluation is supported.
Where the standard evaluation is executed in order using the Tab and/or Next button, for the external examiner questionnaire a left-side navigation panel is added. This to allow switching easily between the different pages in the questionnaire that is in most cases containing so much pages the tab / bread-crumb navigation is not considered user friendly.
The above shown image has more features than just the navigation. A new page-option is added to combine the overview and submit page into one single page showing a combination of the overview, the submit and all provided answers (> Show my answers unfold).
Configuration:
The configuration of the various features is part of the configuration of the evaluation. The new options are:
- Sidebar navigation
Select the checkbox to enable the sidebar navigation. Selecting will cause only the sidebar navigation to be enabled, the tabular / bread-crumb navigation will not be shown. - Show answers after completion
Added a new option for the Evaluation type: "Show answers after completion". This feature, which is disabled by default, allows users to review all questions and answers in an expandable section. All users can view their answers before they submit the survey. Authenticated users can visit the same link and view their answers.
USABILITY - Enable reopen of evaluations per status transition - EV-117
Introduced a new setting, "Reopen participants," allowing teachers and staff to re-open a previously closed evaluation while retaining existing participants and - for non-anonymous surveys - their progress. This option is configurable per status transition.
REPORTING - Enable individual participant reports - EV-118
Introduced a new report type 'PARTICIPANT_REPORT', enabling the filtering of reports based on individual participant responses. This feature requires a corresponding template for the evaluation type and the REPORT_ALL access level.Renamed 'personal' report types to 'PERSONAL_PARTICIPANT_REPORT' for participants (students) and 'PERSONAL_MEMBER_REPORT' for members (teachers) to better reflect the targeted user groups.
Security and usage of a different template is added to prevent users from accidentally report on individual students. Only using a specific template AND having the correct authorization will allow reporting on individual persons.
USABILITY - Individual based questionnaires should provide individual based feedback - EV-118
If "Allow writing feedback to participants" on the evaluation type and "Feedback editable" is enabled on the report, it's possible to give feedback to individuals directly from the report.
Note that the edit button will only appear for users with 'FEEDBACK' rights, and who are allowed to view the report.
Once configured the individual feedback option, each of the individual reports will show an Edit-button underneath the configured 'feedback areas', enabling to define participant specific feedback.
Other features & Improvements
BUG - Multiple PDF exports not working on Firefox - EV-136
Fixed an issue on Firefox browsers where exporting multiple PDFs simultaneously failed to download correctly, making the PDFs unable to open. Now, multiple PDF exports are correctly saved as a ZIP file, allowing for each report to be accessed individually.
BUG, USABILITY - Inconsistent input field dimensions - EV-140
Fixed a bug where input fields for tags while configuring evaluations appeared with a different width compared to other input fields.
