New release of TE Reserve

This release includes new settings that give more control over how reservations are displayed, and bug fixes.

Copy time, object, fields from availability reservations

By using the Copy from availability reservations setting, you can pre-fill the time, objects and fields from the availability reservation. This makes it easier to ensure users are making the right type of reservation and reduces the number of fields they have to enter overall.

You can find the setting under Customize → Admin → Reserve -> Copy from availability reservations.

It's also useful to combine this setting with Customize → Reservations → Color by: Availability, as seen below, to help display what information will be part of the reservation.

When clicking on the white availability, the time, objects, and fields, will be prefilled from the underlying availability reservations.

Show only text on My reservations

By using the Show only Text on My reservations setting, only availability reservations and reservations that the user has created or changed, shows any text information. The rest of the reservations are blank. This could be useful for e.g. student-facing Reserve pages where you want to limit the information displayed while still indicating number of requests.

You can find the setting under Customize → Admin → Reservations → Reservation content → Show only text on My reservations.

Please note, you can also take this one step further by also using the Virtual object: Show only My requests setting (described below), which will hide other users' reservations.

Show reservations related to virtual objects

With the Show reservation that contains objects that are related to the virtual object setting enabled, TE Reserve pages will show reservations that contain objects that are related to the virtual object in the schedule. If you instead want to hide them, you can now uncheck this setting, which will disable the display of reservations with physical objects related to the virtual object.

You can find the setting under Customize → Admin → Reserve → Virtual object: Show reservation that contains objects that are related to the virtual object.

Show only My reservations for virtual objects

By using the Virtual object: Show only My requests setting, TE Reserve will only show reservations for virtual objects that the current user has created or modified, hiding all other requests.

You can find the setting under Customize → Admin → Reserve → Virtual object: Show only My requests.

Bug fixes

  • Color of availability reservations
  • Link detector for object names with []
  • Error message when change time of reservation
  • German translation updates
  • Edit reservation of a non-matching reservation template
